Holding a senior clergyman and two others for alleged ritual practices and kidnapping
Due to suspected ritualistic practices at Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, police have detained Major Wisdom Nutsugah, the Senior Pastor of Graceland Sanctuary, together with two junior pastors.
Reports state that after bringing six Okada riders from Buduburam to his home for a discussion, the senior pastor and his two junior pastors allegedly abducted them.
According to preliminary information, the pastor invited the bikers after allegedly accusing them of having low sales after previously buying motorcycles for them.
But according to the victims, they were compelled to strip, threatened, and trapped in a dark room when they arrived.
According to reports, the pastor told one of his younger pastors to go into a hidden chamber and retrieve an odd pot filled with toffees.
The victims claim that he threatened to hurt them if they did not follow his instructions and made them eat the toffees.
According to reports, one of the victims escaped and called the police, who subsequently saved the other victims and took the priest and his two helpers into custody.
The Kasoa Divisional Police Command is now holding the suspects in custody as they cooperate with the investigations.
In the meantime, Emmanuel Dogbe, the Assembly Member for the Buduburam Electoral Area, has denounced the occurrence and asked the police to carry out a comprehensive investigation and make sure that, should the suspects be proven guilty, the proper measures be implemented.
