After defeating Egypt in two legs, Ghana’s Black Queens have secured their spot in the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026.
After a 3-0 victory in the first leg in Cairo, the Queens’ decisive 4-0 triumph over the Egyptians on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium guaranteed qualifying with a 7-0 aggregate score.
With a flurry of goals to round off their five-star performance, coach Kim Björkegren’s team dominated from beginning to end.
Moving forward Three minutes after opening the score in the 52nd minute, Doris Boaduwaa doubled her total.
The irrepressible Boaduwaa completed her hat-trick in stoppage time to complete the victory, but Comfort Yeboah added the third in the 57th minute, her maiden goal for the Queens.
The outcome puts Ghana back at the forefront of African women’s football in a show of complete dominance.
Ghana has made appearances at the continental showpiece in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2024. This will be their 12th appearance.
