The two West African rivals will face off in the 2025 Unity Cup, a four-nation tournament featuring Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Unity Cup, organised by Afro Sports, aims to showcase the best of West African and Caribbean football talent. Twum emphasised that the match against Nigeria will be a challenging encounter, stating, “We are very much also aware that, you know, matches between Nigeria and Ghana are always difficult.” The Ghanaian team’s focus is on team-building, rather than solely on results [1].
