On the interbank exchange market, the cedi is currently trading at GH¢10.85 to the dollar, up from GH¢10.84 on Thursday.

The modest recovery, according to some business analysts, might be the result of temporary interventions or better market mood.

But as the year draws to a close, they warn that the cedi is still susceptible to outside shocks and fiscal pressures.

However, as the 2026 budget draws near, everyone is watching to see how the government’s fiscal policies will affect the cedi’s value in relation to other major trading currencies, particularly the US dollar.
